​Dr. Charmaine A. Herman is a first generation Upper Cervical doctor.  She became interested in chiropractic when a close relative experienced remarkable healing from a debilitating injury under chiropractic care without the use of medicine.  Having already obtained a BS in Biology, BA in History, and MA in History from the University of South Carolina in Columbia she was seeking the Lord's direction for her life. Dr. Herman saw the Lord's hand leading her in the direction of Chiropractic and knew it was the only road she wanted to take.​​

 

In 2009 Dr. Herman completed her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree at Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC. At Sherman she began to study the Blair Upper Cervical technique after experiencing it for herself. She continues to take Blair courses annually to develop her skills. In October 2013 Dr. Herman became a Blair Faculty Certified Instructor.

 

Today she teaches the Blair Condylar Misalignment and Analysis elective to chiropractic students at Life University in Marietta, Georgia, where she is a Professor in the Division of Clinical Science at the College of Chiropractic. Dr. Herman is also the faculty adviser of the Blair Upper Cervical Technique Club.

Dr. Herman is the founder of the North Georgia Black Healthcare Professionals Network (NGBHPN) which provides patients with referral to dentists, optometrists, medical specialists, naturopaths and clinical psychologists in North Georgia community. It is a free service to both patients and healthcare professionals who enroll.

 

Additionally, Dr. Herman is a member of the Blair UC Chiropractic Society, the American Black Chiropractic Association(ABCA), the Christian Chiropractic Association (CCA) and the ICA Upper Cervical Care Council.  She is also  sits on the Board of Directors for the International Chiropractors Association (ICA) and the Diversity Committee for the Georgia Chiropractic Association (GCA). In her personal life, Dr. Herman holds the position of First Lady and Praise & Worship leader of AbundantLife International (ALife) - Atlanta in Alpharetta where her husband, Stephen E. Herman is the Pastor. ​
